BLAZEGUARD
A safety BLAZEGUARD for storage and transfer of flammable liquids. The present invention
deals with a safety container, designed for storage and transfer of flammable liquids. The
innovative safety container design serves as a revolutionary replacement for
conventional buckets employed in industrial settings, particularly addressing two critical
applications.
1ST
APPLICATION
2ND
APPLICATION
Involves the transfer of flammable liquids,
where these buckets traditionally facilitate the
pouring of liquids from a container for
subsequent transfer to designated application
areas.
Pertains to the use of these buckets to contain
and collect flammable liquids resulting from
leakages, presenting a significant risk of fire
due to direct contact between the liquid
surface and oxygen in the air. The potential
ignition sources pose a substantial fire hazard.

Common Flammable Liquids in the Pharmaceutical Industry
1. Acetone
Flash Point : < -2 °C
Uses: Commonly used as a solvent for various
applications, including cleaning and extraction
processes.
2. Ethanol
Flash Point : 13 °C
Uses: Widely employed as a solvent and in the
formulation of pharmaceutical products.
3. Methanol
Flash Point : 11-12 °C
Uses: Often used as a solvent and in the synthesis
of other chemicals.
4. Isopropyl Alcohol
Flash Point : 12 °C
Uses: Commonly used for disinfection and as a
solvent in pharmaceutical preparations.
5. Toluene
Flash Point : 4 °C
Uses: Utilized as a solvent in chemical reactions
and extractions.
6. Hexane
Flash Point : -22 °C
Uses: Used in the extraction of oils and fats, and as
a solvent in various processes.
Safety Considerations
Due to the high risk of fire and explosion associated with these flammable liquids, stringent safety
measures are essential:
Storage : Flammable liquids should be stored in appropriate containers and locations, such as flammable storage
cabinets or underground tanks, to minimize risks.
Handling Procedures : Use of lab hoods or well-ventilated areas is recommended when working with these
chemicals to prevent vapor accumulation near ignition sources.
Fire Safety Equipment : Facilities must be equipped with appropriate fire extinguishers and safety equipment to
handle potential incidents effectively
Common Flammable Liquids in the Cosmetic Industry
1. Ethanol
Flash Point : 13 °C
Uses : Often used as a solvent and preservative in
many cosmetic products, including perfumes and
skincare items.
2. Isopropyl Alcohol
Flash Point : 12 °C
Uses : Frequently utilized as a disinfectant and
solvent in products like hand sanitizers, lotions,
and hair sprays.
3. Acetone
Flash Point : -20 °C
Uses : Commonly found in nail polish removers
and some cleaning products due to its strong
solvent properties.
4. Toluene
Flash Point : 4 °C
Uses : Used in some nail polishes and adhesives,
toluene acts as a solvent that helps achieve a
smooth application.
5. Methanol
Flash Point : 11-12 °C
Uses : Occasionally used as a solvent in
cosmetics; however, its use is limited due to
toxicity concerns.
6. Benzene
Flash Point : -11.63 °C
Uses : Historically used in some formulations,
though its use has decreased significantly due to
health risks.
Safety Considerations
Due to the inherent fire hazards associated with these flammable liquids, it is essential for manufacturers
to implement strict safety protocols :
Storage : Flammable liquids should be stored in appropriate containers and away from heat sources to prevent
ignition.
Ventilation : Work areas should be well-ventilated to minimize vapor accumulation and reduce the risk of fire or
explosion.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : Employees should wear suitable PPE when handling these substances to
prevent exposure and injuries.
